The Metropolitan Branch Trail stitches together a great cross-section of DC — from the leafy streets of Takoma to the monumental beauty of Union Station. In between, the route passes through some of the city’s most engaging and historic neighborhoods, such as Brookland, Edgewood and Eckington. The upcoming completion of the off-road trail from New York Avenue to Franklin Street will finally give pedestrians and cyclists a safe, convenient route between these great neighborhoods and downtown. It looks like the Metropolitan Branch Trail will be worth the wait!
